We're back home!
The stress of everything took a toll on me and I had the worst migraines I've had in seven months.
It had been so long since my last really bad one that I didn't think I needed to take my prescription medication to the hotel with me. I looked right at it on the counter and left it there, but I did pack the Excedrin Migraine.
The first one hit at about 10:30am on Friday morning. The bad ones, which no medication will touch except for one (the one I didn't bring), feel like my brain getting zapped by an electric fence. They go ZAP! (most of the time I yell very bad words, but since I was in a hotel room I had to suffer in silence), then every muscle in my body (including my heart, which is a very scary feeling) contracts for a few seconds, and then I can relax for anywhere from two to about 15 seconds. Then it starts again and if I take the right medication lasts maybe 45 minutes. If I don't take that medication they can last up to 3 days.
I took 4 Excedrin, hoping for the best, but not really believing it would help. It lasted for hours. It finally went away enough for me to sleep for awhile, then came back with a vengeance so Itook 4 more. We weren't supposed to, but Zach got my bottle of gold from our house and brought it to me. About an hour later I was pain free and sound asleep. Such a relief!
We brought everyone home yesterday and I'm still having migraines but not the really terrible ones.
But, the good news is we're all home and all of the fish are alive. 💕

Holy cow, what a time!
To make a long story short we had a bad leak under our house that soaked the insulation and caused one end of the house to sink, which cracked the siding on one side of the house.
We got the leak fixed and the house re-leveled, and the insulation contractor removed the old insulation today and will be installing the new insulation tomorrow. The new siding has been ordered, so we're just waiting for that to come in.
Because the new insulation could have fumes, all of the animals (except the fish) have to be out of the house for 24 hours. Zach and I are staying in a hotel room with Bilbo and Diablo, my mom is keeping Chewy, Taz and Lily, and my 12 year old niece is babysitting Porkchop. 😊
We dropped the birds off this morning and they're doing great. Tonight we're taking Porkchop to my sister's house and getting him settled then we'll go to the hotel.
Insanity! LOL

Oh, wow! How wonderful for Jade! I know you loved her and are glad to see her so happy. Sometimes there's no explanation for why some creatures really click with one but not another. It's true in humans, too. (((HUGS)))

It's funny, Pico and her have been the only birds we've had who actually liked swings. She reminds me a lot of Pico....she's a little monkey bird, like he was. 😊💕

If you notice in the video she gets her toenail caught in the cover, too. I'm thinking part of the problem is that she needs her nails trimmed. That's going to be fun! LOL

Holy cow. I have to get Lily used to my hands! I was in the dining room digging through a box, throwing things away and I heard Lily flitting around her cage. But then I noticed that her wing beats were a weird rhythm so I turned to look. She was upside down on her rope swing so I went to see what she was doing. There's a tassel underneath the perch part of the swing and her foot was caught in the tassel. She wasn't making any noise, except for her wings.
I put my hand in her cage and she panicked and got herself loose...but wow.
I'm untangling the tassel now, and will definitely keep my eye on it from now on.
I turned the lamp on and covered her cage so she could rest because the foot was bothering her. But a few minutes later she was flitting around again and when I lifted the corner of her cage cover she was staring at me. LOL
I think we dodged a bullet. She's acting normal and has no trouble using that leg. I just took a video of her playing. LOL

Awwwwww! Chewy surprised me the other day, when he said "Bilbo! Go kennel!" Bilbo hasn't had a kennel for a couple years, at least. LOL 💕
