Holy cow, what a time!
To make a long story short we had a bad leak under our house that soaked the insulation and caused one end of the house to sink, which cracked the siding on one side of the house.
We got the leak fixed and the house re-leveled, and the insulation contractor removed the old insulation today and will be installing the new insulation tomorrow. The new siding has been ordered, so we're just waiting for that to come in.
Because the new insulation could have fumes, all of the animals (except the fish) have to be out of the house for 24 hours. Zach and I are staying in a hotel room with Bilbo and Diablo, my mom is keeping Chewy, Taz and Lily, and my 12 year old niece is babysitting Porkchop. 😊
We dropped the birds off this morning and they're doing great. Tonight we're taking Porkchop to my sister's house and getting him settled then we'll go to the hotel.
Insanity! LOL

I suppose you could try to think of it as a fun adventure, even if it really isn't one. Hope everything gets fixed quickly and everyone can move back into your own house.

Wow, that must have been a shock to find your house sinking, pretty sure I remember when you had it built Hopefully it can get all fixed and the smell gone so you can get back home

We're back home!
The stress of everything took a toll on me and I had the worst migraines I've had in seven months.
It had been so long since my last really bad one that I didn't think I needed to take my prescription medication to the hotel with me. I looked right at it on the counter and left it there, but I did pack the Excedrin Migraine.
The first one hit at about 10:30am on Friday morning. The bad ones, which no medication will touch except for one (the one I didn't bring), feel like my brain getting zapped by an electric fence. They go ZAP! (most of the time I yell very bad words, but since I was in a hotel room I had to suffer in silence), then every muscle in my body (including my heart, which is a very scary feeling) contracts for a few seconds, and then I can relax for anywhere from two to about 15 seconds. Then it starts again and if I take the right medication lasts maybe 45 minutes. If I don't take that medication they can last up to 3 days.
I took 4 Excedrin, hoping for the best, but not really believing it would help. It lasted for hours. It finally went away enough for me to sleep for awhile, then came back with a vengeance so Itook 4 more. We weren't supposed to, but Zach got my bottle of gold from our house and brought it to me. About an hour later I was pain free and sound asleep. Such a relief!
We brought everyone home yesterday and I'm still having migraines but not the really terrible ones.
But, the good news is we're all home and all of the fish are alive. 💕

I can only imagine how miserable the migraines must be, and hope you won't be bothered by them now that you're back home. Glad that everyone is back in your house where you belong, and hope that things will be uneventful from here on.

Hi Dani! Sounds like you came through it OK, but it's a bugger you had to suffer in order to do it. Hope you're feeling better.
