Yes, I've started massaging her and she loves it! We sit and just relax together on a fairly regular basis, which is wonderful.

I just wish some of Gigi's nature would rub off on Jack. Maggie used to land on Gigi and use her for a perch or even ride her through the house, and Gigi would just look at me helplessly, like "Mom, PLEASE!" but never, ever made any attempt to make her move or hurt her in any way. I think Jack knows he's not supposed to hurt Rocky or even get very close, but he's a boundary-pusher and so is Rocky. That would definitely make things difficult.

Bilbo has almost no prey drive (our main reason for choosing his breed), and when the birds are flying around he completely ignores them. Once, when he was a puppy Taz flew off of his cage and was walking around on the floor. Bilbo started barking, telling me that something was wrong! LOL It was like "Hey! Mom, come look! Something weird happened, and this thing isn't supposed to be there!!!!"
We always watch them, and put Bilbo to bed at night when we have all three birds out together, and the cat is always locked in the bedroom when any of the birds are out.

I think she's got at little bit of Arabian blood, but I don't know for sure. I want to contact the Appaloosa Horse Club to see if I can get a DNA test done.

Is amazing! She's bounced back from her colic episode, and is doing great! I can't wait to go riding! Hopefully soon.

For about a year after Conan the Canarian died, Chewy would constantly say "Hi Conan!". He had never said that before, and he hasn't said it since.
Conan was sick and I had him put down when he started having seizures. I brought him home and showed his body to the others. Chewy was expressing his grief by saying "Hi Conan!"

Shoot, I'm sorry.... Here is a little tidbit of information from www.birdchannel.com/bird-diet-and-health/bird-care/bird-poop.aspxWhat If Your Bird Can’t Poop? "Constipation is not a common problem in birds,” Burkett said. "However, if a bird is straining to poop and nothing is coming out, it could mean there is a blockage, such as an egg stuck inside a female or a foreign body in the GI tract.”

This might sound funny, but my mom used to use peanut butter to get gum out of my sister and my hair...just a thought...
