YES!! Thank you SO much, Easttex!! I was trying and trying to come up with an appropriate word, so I was reading different articles about the stages of development in parrots...the only word I could find to describe that stage was "adolescent", so even though I didn't think it was all that fitting, I used it until I could think of a better term.

LOL I like the purple, was playing around with the colors...and now as you can see, Shelly made the forum background a pretty green! The new group names are Hatchling, Weanling, Fledgling, Adolescent and Top Bird. |

It's been said that Quakers can have the same mutation colors at budgies.
When the first yellow Quaker was born (I believe it was bred by Tom Nemerovsky in Florida), it was for sale for some crazy price like $10,000 or something.

She'll eventually come around, Jan. It will take A LOT of time and patience, but she will. Now that you "understand her" better, you'll be able to make changes that will help her learn to trust you.
