Very similar weather here, except we are staying below freezing tomorrow, we did have freezing rain this aft. Looks like next weekend is well above freezing a big contrast to what we just had.

It was just as messy here today as predicted. About 3" of new snow accumulated, then came the freezing rain, to put a nice hard and slippery crust on top of the snow. Then the rains came, and it rained heavily from late morning to mid-afternoon. Lots of flooded streets in the area as the rain mixed with melting snow; with the storm sewers clogged with snow already, the water has nowhere to go. Later in the afternoon, it was back to wet, sloppy snow, but fortunately, there wasn't much of it.

It's a beautiful 25 degrees Celsius in Sydney today - not a cloud in the sky.

That does sound messy! Hope you didn't have to drive far. We got a little more snow than predicted, it was a beautiful winterwonderland kind of day here. We are forecast a tiny bit more during the night they maybe sun by tomorrow afternoon, so we can catch some of your sunshine Jan.

We're in the low 70's here. Clear, with a light breeze. I won't be crowing about the weather this summer, though.

I am guessing you get super hot but dry weather, it gets really hot here too, though last summer wasn't bad, but it can be a very humid heat so the air is heavy. Yours probably lasts way longer than ours.

Our weather is more Deep South than west Texas. We do have enough time for summer and fall tomato crops, but I've yet to harvest a really good single season's worth. Each year starts with the triumph of hope over experience, and by mid-summer my enthusiasm is way down.

We used to have a big garden, but then the bunnies moved into our neighbourhood and I got tired of feeding them, so I planted a giant perennial flower garden. We were just thinking about doing raised beds for vegetables, but we start way later than you and usually tomatoes don't ripen until August. A distant plan right now as we are in the midst of a big winter snow storm.... Should be interesting to see how much will be on the ground when morning comes around. Right now the wind is blowing hard and the snow is coming down fast.
