Hi Raeza,
I also have a baby blue quaker, my baby Norman is around 3.5 months old. I remember the first full day of work, I felt so guilty even though I knew he would be ok haha!
I live in a town house, so I share one wall with some neighbours, I was really worried about noise complaints but, a month later, and still no complaints. I have to say Normy is pretty quiet though... he has the occasional squawk but most of the time he just makes little happy bird noises! I also live right next to a rainforest reserve so there are SO many bird noises around, I'm not sure whether anyone could differentiate between Norman and the outside birds thankfully!
This forum has helped so much so ask any questions you want!
Hope you and Bondi have a good day : )

Thats good, I'm glad other people have early to bed birdies.
I have had my mum and dad up for this weekend and oh my goodness Norman has been jealous! They also brought our little doggie Bonnie, and Norman does not want a bar of any of them. Last time we visited them, Norman liked the extra attention but this time he was super protective of me, he has warmed up a little but still quite standoffish.

Hi everyone,
Norman looks like a little old man, hence his name, but now he is starting to act like one. He is starting to put himself to bed earlier and earlier... He is starting to put himself to bed (and by that I mean going into his cage and getting himself into a comfy position, usually on one leg, on his sleeping perch) at 5:30 - 6:00pm. It is turning into winter here so it is starting to get darker earlier but this seems like a REALLY early bed time...
He is just about 4 months old now, so he is still young, would that have something to do with it?
Thanks!

I am going to have to try and record him when I'm not there to see if he says anything. No words since that morning... oh well! I guess he is keeping me in suspense

Thank Aaron, I would love Norman to be up there! Do I just post the photo or do I email it to someone? So exciting!

Hi Dave,
My Normam is only four months and he seems to be going through quite a large moult. Warm baths seem to help him, followed by some scratchies and preening. He loves me to remove the shaft but I have heard that others don't like it, so just do whatever works for your birdy.

I love looking at the banner and trying to recognise everyone's birdies. It is such a cool idea!

Norman said his first word!! I was so excited I actually fell over haha!
He said, very quietly and a little tentatively, 'hello'!! Previously to this he has made kissy noises but never a word but then today a full word! I can't wait for him to say it again! Yay yay yay!

Norman is just loving his bath these days. Luckily he has been taking them during the morning or mid day so there hasn't been a need to blow dry him... even though he loved it! I certainly don't want to poison him or dry out his beautiful feathers and skin.
He has so many pin feathers at the moment, poor little dumpling, so I'm hoping with all the baths and me helping when I can with scratchies and massages haha, he will be as fluffy as ever!

After watching this adorable video, I gave Normy some capsicum seeds too, he LOVES them too! Yay!

Haha I can't believe there are so many teachers on here. Yes Norman is not impressed by me going so early and returning so late, I live in Australia too so I know all about it getting dark so quickly! Poor Normy thinks he has to go to bed at 5:30ish!
He has also started to hate my work laptop due to all my planning and schoolwork I do at home, he sits on it and nips the sides of it!!
Luckily, he has forgiven me for my 'naughty' behaviour the other night and decided we can be friends again. Especially seen he is CRAZY hungry at the moment, I think he might be growing...

Hi Everyone,
Norman still won't go anywhere near his soft cozy little hut... and now that its winter I would love him to sleep in there but he still wants to sleep on his ladder perch thing where he was always slept.
I tried hiding treats in there and putting my hand in there but still nothing...
Oh well.. it was worth a try!

Well today I got home from a killer staff meeting... I'm a teacher so we can have some VERY long meetings after school, so instead of getting home around 3:30 4:00pm, I came home at 5:00pm... well Norman did NOT like that! He wouldn't really even let me touch him, he didn't want his usual night time scratchies, he literally just had his dinner (that I lovingly prepared) and then went to bed sulking! Oh well... hopefully he wakes up in a better mood haha
