I completely agree with you! Normy basically runs my routine now.. since he joined my family I get up 45 minutes earlier just to make sure we have enough cuddle time and loving. This morning I made him birdy pancakes for brekky while I had a boring banana smoothie... he has it all worked out!

I know! Normy is king of doing that, after a car trip its always kind of fascinating where I find his poop! Obviously his talents are firing bodily fluids either at me or around the place! Yay!

So we were going for a little drive this afternoon and Normy sneezed and a tiny bit of clear liquid came out of his nose I think and landed on me!!
He is looking really healthy, his little nostrils look normal, he's eating really well and drinking... he also only sneezed once!
Do your birdies ever sneeze?
Thanks : )

This weekend, Normy and I ventured down to my parents, or Normy's grandparents house for a visit. We have traveled there before (its about 2.5/3hrs drive) but Normy has always been on the front seat in his travel cage. This time, I decided to let him out in the car on top of his travel cage. He had such a better time being able to go into his cage when he wanted or sit on my shoulder, or sit on the seat headrest and back and forth haha!! It was also freezing there compared to where I live, so mission get Normy to sleep in his snuggy is a go! I have placed it up nice and high in his cage and placed some of his favourite seeds in there as an incentive! Wish me luck! It looks so nice, I really don't know why he refuses to go in there hahaha

Hi George from both myself and my little quakey Norman! Joining this forum is the best thing I have done after getting my first quaker. Everyone has been so helpful and patient with all my questions!

I'm glad Normy seems to weigh a similar amount to his other Quaker friends, I freaked out a little when my scale said 60g, not sure how that happened!!!

That is just the cutest thing... Normy seems to be more 'all about him' at the moment haha but I don't mind... he does give very sweet little birdy kisses!

Hi everyone,
So I weighed Normy last night and he weighs 60gs, he is blue and 3.5month old. Do you think he is under weight?
He looks a bit skinny but healthy at the same time? I'm just not sure???
He eats really well, except for the pellets, but he eats everything else ok, maybe he isn't eating enough though or maybe I am just being a paranoid mum...

So if you can get Bondi back to eating pellets tell me your secret!!
When I bought Norman, the breeder told me he was eating a diet of mostly pellets, so I also bought the exact same brand and expected him to gobble them up... but no! I think I may have spoiled him too... I gave him some baby bird feed, all different kinds of fruit and veggies and some birdie muffins I made...
Since then, he still won't eat any of his pellets and his diet mostly consists of veggies and some fruit, seed, baby bird feed, birdie muffins (I sneak some pellets into there haha)
We are trying all the methods of conversion but so far Norman has just been so stubborn and WILL NOT eat a single pellet!!!
Oh well, I will keep trying! I wish you better luck than I'm having haha

To me... and I'm no quaker expert but it looks like he is just being a bit of a goofball haha its also quite a baby quaker thing too though so it could be a range of things. I know now that Normy does it when he wants attention, extra food (usually baby bird food even though he has supposed to been weened off that) scratchies or just being silly! He thinks he is super funny to I think when he does it so he does it quite a bit!
