As to what made Daisy's owner think she could handle all those birds, some people's hearts are just too big. They let their heart decide, instead of their head. That's how Zach and I ended up with 9 birds at one time; I'm a sucker. LOL Welcome to Miss Daisy! |

I think the mites caused a lot, if not all, of his problems. He's been sitting on his perches more, though he does still sit on the bottom of his cage.
We still have one more dose of Ivermectin, and we still have to treat the house (I'm getting it clean before we bug bomb it).

It really helps me to remember that we really can't save them all. It's the good-hearted people who really TRY to save them all who suffer the most, from disappointment and sadness. I did not intend to post about Auction Horses here. For years I've strived to keep Auction Horses separate from this forum, because I come here to laugh and feel "normal". I so appreciate all of you, and truly do feel like you're my family. |

Oh, for sure! Chewy knows his name (and says it quite often..."Hi Chewy!" "Wherrrre's Chewy? Peek a bird!" "Yay, Chewy! Woot woot!" LOL He thinks he's pretty hot stuff! He also calls for Taz (their cages are next to each other)..."Where's Taz? Peek a bird!" or "Where's Taz? Where are you?? Taz??" LOL The little stinker. |
