I have been watching it - last of the series tonight. No spoilers but the one last week left me very traumatised. But then, I have spent most of the time being traumatised by this show since I watched the first episode of series 1. It is certainly great viewing.

Last week was horrible but this week was shocking!
I havent been this hooked on a show since Dexter (which I adored and was ticked off by the final show)

Sorry to disappoint you both, Sharyn & Jan, but I've never watched it. But now you have me intrigued...maybe I will try to watch a rerun or recording.

Okay Sharyn, it is about to start and I am already stressed to the max wondering who they are going to do away with. Oh god, don't let it be John Snow.

lol I woke up this morning STILL UPSET over this. Sheesh, you would think I have enough to be upset with in every day real life, being upset over a tv show is ridiculous. And still, I'M UPSET AND PISSED. I read an interview this morning with the actor, it is confirmed, he cut his hair and he won't be back. Yeah, I just sat there in front of the tv yelling NO NO NO NO NO NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Biteybird, if you are going to watch this, you have to start at the beginning of the first season or it will make no sense to you. This was the end of season 5, so you have a quite a bit of catching up to do

That is a great movie. So many people tell me to watch Game of Thrones... but we so rarely turn on the TV these days, I don't think I have enough time to add another show to the mix.

Game of Thrones is unlike any tv show you have ever watched. They give no mind to the consistency of the cast and you literally NEVER KNOW what is going to happen with each new episode. After watching this for 5 seasons, I should not be surprised by how last night's season finale went, but I am more than surprised, I AM SHOCKED!
But, like I mentioned before, it's been on for 5 years, so if you are going to start now, you have a ton of catching up to do. This is not one of those shows that you can just pick it up after watching a few episodes.
Of course, there are also 2 books out, and the last book out corresponds with the end of this season, so if you'd rather read, read the books. They are not exact, but fairly close, I am told. I only read the first book (written by George Martin) and that was durn close. I have not read the 2nd and probably won't since I'm watching the series. I read the first book, before the show was out.

It's on HBO right? So I could theoretically watch it from the beginning on HBO GO. Hmmm. I am theoretically still trying to do this with Boardwalk Empire too, but I only made it about half way through the second season so I have a ton to go on that too... Sheesh. So much to watch!

I have company this week and don't have much spare time, but do want to jump in here. I'm still trying to finish Deadwood, which I love (so Shakespearian in ways) and haven't even considered Game of Thrones yet. But I have to put in a pitch for one of my all-time favorite movies - Kenny. It's Australian and I don't think it got much play here. The description does not do it justice. Anyone else seen it?

Easttex, being Australian, I DONT go and see Australian movies - dont know why but they just dont appeal to me. As to GoT, I will never get over the shock. Couldnt watch Paul as I couldnt move out of the chair for ages thinking of all the ways I would kill some of those people. When I first saw GoT, it was ep 3 of Series 1 - couldnt figure out what was going on so didnt bother watching it again. I saw it last year on special at the local shop so bought the first 3 series - from the first ep onwards, I was traumatised. You cant like anyone in it - their life expectancy is not good. I keep telling myself it is only a tv show, but boy, have I been sucked in big time.

It is on HBO, but does the hbogo go back 5 years? I watched this from ep 1, season 1 on hbogo and have been watching it there, but this season, Verizon, my internet and cable provider, ran a promo for free hbo till end of June. Fortunately the season for GAme of thrones cooperated and was on during the time I had free HBO so I got to watch it there.
Like Jan said, you have to basically watch it from the beginning or you are lost.
Very worth it though!

I was SO MAD!!!! Last week, and now this??? The other person got what she deserved, but..,....noooooo!!!!!
I love GoT, but for those who haven't seen it and are considering it, it is INTENSE.
Be warned, violence and nudity abound. LOL

Dani, hope you are not talking about the Queen Mother. I actually felt sorry for her and hope she gives the others exactly what they deserve.
