I did get 4 hours of sleep. I'm very concerned, because Pico doesn't like his closed in happy hut but I put him in it to help him stay warm. He immediately fell asleep and hasn't moved, only shifting his position sometimes. We'll see.

You can't imagine how many times I've thought of you two today. I'm so glad he seems to be doing better. It makes me think of my (now deceased) father. He had kidney failure, followed by heart failure, and was put on life support. After a while, the nursing staff tried to get us to think about when we might be ready to pull the plug, when he suddenly started improving. His only comment afterward - well, I wasn't ready to kick the bucket. We never told him about those conversations we were starting to have.

I don't have a clue how he made it through last night. I really thought we were going to lose him. I'm so thankful that he is such a tough little bird.

Sorry Dani but I have been out all day and have only just caught up with what is happening with Pico. I am glad he is better. Let us know how you go with the vet.

Pico is still acting pretty normal, as normal goes, for him. I have no clue what happened.

That's so odd for him to have such severe symptoms and then recover so quickly... Very happy that he continues to appear relatively normal. I think you must be right about him having a neurological disorder of some sort. He's lucky to have you guys.

Phew, he sure is a tough little one. There is obviously something wrong with him in some way (before he came to you), but at least you can rest easy that you didn't cause it. Yes, Aaron I agree he's lucky to be in a home where he is loved and looked after.

I imagine that we'll have more of those episodes in the future, but we'll take care of him, whatever comes. He is very loved.

I know it is probably not relevant but a couple of years ago Emma (my dog) was really ill during the night. She was vomiting white stuff, groaning in pain and was limp. I thought she was going to die. It was absolutely horrible. It turns out she had pancreatitis and I had been giving her too much fatty food (she was in dog hospital for 3 days). I am just wondering if Pico is eating anything that he shouldn't. I still think it is a neurological problem but it is worth eliminating any other factors.

I honestly don't think so...he's on a seed based diet, because pellets cause kidney/liver problems in mutation Pacific Parrotlets, and gets frozen veggies and greens (mustard greens and kale). His blood work was normal, so I don't know.

Yay! Pico didn't like his hidey hut because the opening was hard to get in and out of. So I cut the hole and he figured it out already, and is sleeping in it. I wondered why he didn't like it.
