So Maya and I have had some real success with her harness training! Using the aviator harness, she will now allow me to put in on her and tighten it. She's not desperately pleased about having it on once it's there, and does chew it more often than not, but we have been for two walks so far, and she is beginning to stop attacking the harness in favour of looking around her at what's going on. Geese are a particular intrigue, as are small children, buggies and boats (We live by the Thames). Yesterday, Maya paused in her escape efforts long enough to wolf whistle at a passing jogger, which caused me no end of embarrassment! I hope the image I'm trying to put up comes out so you can see her out and about with me!

Hi beccilouise, no I can't see the image you've put up, but I can picture you and Maya in an idyllic setting (it took me a long time when I was younger to realise that the Thames is pronounced "Temms" and was the same river I've seen in many photos I read your post to my husband and he laughed at the bit where Maya wolf-whistled. Did the jogger look at you & did you look the other way? LOL!

Hahaha, unfortunately my first reaction was to laugh my head off! The jogger turned around, clocked Maya, realised what had happened and also burst out laughing, so I didn't get into too much trouble, but did have to apologise! We're going out again today. She's still a little put out with the harness being against her feathers, but she's getting there slowly!

Hey beccilouise, best be careful or you'll end up with another admirer (I'm sure having a quaker sitting on your shoulder makes you a man magnet!). Tell your BF (David?) to watch out! Edit: I just realised you didn't say which gender the jogger was...

Hahaha, it was a female jogger, but that doesn't necessarily make much of a difference! Luckily for David, most of the admirers are for Maya and not for me! We've not been out for a few days as I've had a busy weekend, but I'm taking her out 'for a spin' tomorrow to get back into the swing of things. Am hoping pics will be up soon! Will be setting up a photo bucket account tomorrow

So, you need to click on the textbox next to where "Direct" on the right and it will automatically copy the link you need... you need the direct link, not a link to the page. Sorry, I should have pointed this out in my private message to you.

Maya is adorable, and you're not looking so badly yourself! Can we have a collective wolf whistle for beccilouise?

Hahahaha, thanks guys! Pouty face was as a result of trying not to have a double chin and to catch Maya at a point when she wasn't attacking the harness! I tend to prefer smiles, but I'll accept this photo for its successes thanks again for your help, Aaron!

Great picture and excellent job with the harness. I honestly did not think it would get this far but you have the patience and are persistent.
Well done.
