Hi everyone! I received a private message the other day from aaron. Here it is: I took the idea to Shelly, and she gave her permission to go ahead. Thank you, Shelly! Here is what aaron and I discussed: Everyone is welcome to submit a photo of your quaker. You have one week starting tomorrow (but go ahead and post tonight if you want), so February 12-19 to post your photo here, or you can email it to me at msdani1981@gmail.com and I will post it for you. At that point, aaron will stop accepting submissions, and will begin work on our banner. ** Every attempt will be made to include everyone's photos, however, there may be space restrictions so please understand if your photo doesn't make it onto the banner. ** Also, because of individuals' monitor settings, not everyone may be able to see the banner in its entirety. For example, on the Auction Horses forum, the Administrator included a picture of my first rescue, Gypsy. However, because of my monitor settings, I can't see her picture. We're looking forward to seeing all of your pictures! Ready......Set.......GO!!!

Hmmm...I just don't know. I'm sorry. It's times like this that I really miss Connie. She would have had some ideas for you.

An old friend told me that once she had a woman over to her house. The woman had on a strong perfume, and when they stood in front of her Macaw, a very sweet bird who rarely bit her, he bit her arm and broke it. He couldn't stand the perfume.

I'm well aware that birds are very different than horses, but if a horse was acting like Clyde, the first thing I would ask myself is if he could be in pain. Like he feels okay most of the time, but has sudden flare-ups. Other than that, I have no clue what to suggest.

I understand. No worries. In October, we brought so much attention to this auction by posting pictures and evaluations online, and having people "on the ground" so to speak, who placed bids for people, that more than 40 horses who would have shipped were bought by private homes and rescues. It was an amazing victory for the horses.

It's not uncommon for 100 horses to ship straight to slaughter from this auction.

Easttex, if you're interested in seeing how auctions work, there is a BIG one in Hermiston, Oregon next weekend. I was hoping to be there working, but it's not going to happen. Instead I'll be online practically 24/7, gathering and posting pictures and evaluations.
You can follow on Facebook. Look up Hermiston Outreach.
