Hi Eddy, at least he is actually taking the treat from your hand with no fear, so that is great! Maybe he doesn't know he can eat them? I remember that Bonnie didn't know she could eat grapes until I cut them in half for her.

Biteybird has a great point. Cuca really has come a long way. But it seems he will not make anything easy for you.  Do you demonstrate eating what you are giving him? The only thing I'd recommend, other than to just keep trying, is to leave samples in his food bowl first. Once you see that he will eat it from there, you can try handing them to him. But I would not keep handing them to him once he tosses them. He may think that is what he is supposed to do. Give him one or two and if he immediately tosses them, stop giving them. Try again later. |
