Hey everyone. I'm sure this has been discussed a gazillion times already, but I'm new here and have done a lot of unsuccessful research on this and I can't find anything that stands out. Are the key-less cage locks still the way to go? And if so, where do you get them from? One place returned my payment because the locks were discontinued. Thanks so much!

I did not think they made cages that do not lock. If the door closes and you turn the knob... doesn't it already lock? That is how all of my cages have worked and they are all fine to keep the bird inside the cage.
Do not hesitate to ask any questions you have.... many of us have done a lot of research therefore, you can get the answer easier here.
Good Luck.

Yea, my doors definitely do not lock. They either slide up or down or just push open. And I have 5 different doors on my cage, plus 2 cats, so I need to make sure my baby can't escape while I'm not there to protect him.

You can use these guys in a pinch to make sure those non-locking doors do not open:

You know those clips you can buy at places like Menard's for a dog leash or chain? That's what I use. I have two escape artists. For the most part it doesn't matter; they're out all day anyway. But on rare occasions I need for them to stay in their cages and I use those for that. I'm at work, not at home, so I can't take a photo for you but if you went to Menard's or Lowe's or Home Depot and asked them for those, they'd show you where they are. Get the smallest that will fit over the bars or the bird will open the door anyway and squeeze out or get stuck trying -- Clyde did that once and scared me to death. I came home and found him stuck. He was okay, but I went back and got a smaller clip to keep that from happening again. You can also use zip ties, and you can buy those in a huge bundle for practically nothing.
