Hello everyone.

I just found this forum and know I will be reading lots in here. I have a budgie, Ernie, a chihuahua that I adopted from a rescue group in April, his name is Pepe. And now tomorrow I will be adopting a Quaker from neighbors of mine that are wanting to rehome him or her. He's about 8 years old. I just have to wait for our local pet store to open and get a decent size cage and toys and food for him before I pick him up. I have been researching on the internet for more info on the Quaker so I know what I am getting into but most sites are just the basic care guides so am very happy to have found this forum.

Thank you for adopting this little one-- it is really fantastic when these birds find a home that is good for them and it sounds like that is what you will provide. Rehoming can be challenging, so feel free to ask any questions you might have! Do you know why the previous owner wants to rehome the bird?

He's being rehomed as the owners are elderly and is getting to be too much to look after. They also have an African grey,and 2 dogs.

Welcome to the forum. The folks on here have helped me tremendously throughout the years and I am not sure what I would have done without them. I now have a wonderful QP who is full of life and laughter... but still hates my husband... lol
