Different Behaviour

Lately Oscar is showing different behaviour however, I realize that my life has been different so therefore, it is expected. Today he crawled down his ladder three times to get to the floor of the living room and walk over to me or hubby (cause I was pretending to sleep) and this is something he never does.

Also... today they were working on the street again and a huge truck made a big bang... well Oscar went flying from his kitchen cage all the way around the counter and landed by my feet in the living room. Oscar usually does not fly. He has been molting and I do know he needs a trim but I was truly shocked (as was he) that he flew this distance.  He truly looked proud of himself.  He did not shake and that is something he always does when he flies.

I had to leave town last weekend so he went to the sitters. He was so sad when I left him that it made me cry... but I picked him up two nights later and he loved me all over again. Of course he had to give me one good bite to say I was bad.

Today I had to take him to the sitters again and this time it is for a week.... A nice little holiday for me. He was good at the sitters and even kissed me on the nose. He is also in heat so I hope his aggression towards the other birds there is not a problem.  I brought him all his favorites... fresh peas and carrots and romaine lettuce from the garden.

I made a video of him beating up a toilet paper roll... it is sooooo funny... however, it is too big to post on this site... so I will have to do it again but a little shorter.
