You wouldn't find it adorable or funny if you heard it constantly. However, I do embrace the Monkey Breath and know that I will always be his Monkey Breath. At least it is better than when he used to scream out Monkey Butt when he was really, really angry with me. Monkey Butt? Really? That's amazing, particularly as it seems he used it in context. That's really funny!

I don't know, Jan. Do you find people shying away from you, particularly when you pronounce the letter "h"?

I've never been up close and personal with a monkey so I'm unsure how their breath smells but I'm guessing it's bad?

I would be very happy if Oscar would call me anything when he is angry with me. Even monkey butt would be a pleasure to hear. Some how I must try to ignore him more... I am sure that would get some words out of him. I raised a spoiled brat but I love him so.

Yeah, I just get yelled at. Of course Cupcake doesn't talk so that isn't surprising.

I had a good look at him this morning. His feathers have a sheen to them now and his eyes are much bigger and softer. He still bites but they no longer break the skin. He almost looks like a completely different bird. I try not to bash myself up about the discomfort he has been in for the last 3 years but I still feel really bad about it. He is much more snuggly now and asks "gotta kiss" almost as often as calling me MB. And I always give him a kiss when he asks - no matter what I am doing I notice also that he is mumbling a lot more in quaker language as well. I speak in English to him and he answers in quaker mumble.

Apparently Shah bears no grudge. I wonder how many people don't interact with their birds like you do, and who would never even know something was wrong.
