This is to introduce Walle (from WALL-E, Pixar movie), a 6 years old, blue Quaker parrot (located in Toronto, Canada). He speaks a few words, mainly in context (like: good morning; good night; “coming back”; good boy; no, no, no; how are you - are you; goodbye; hello; water) and mimics a few more other. He enjoys music, like opera, especially soprano voices (when he starts bobbing his head and making his own interpretation of the song). His favorite singer is Maria Callas, but as for musical piece it’s queen of the night's aria. He also sings Alouette (popular French Canadian children's song) distinctly, but other songs too, again in his own interpretation. Sometimes he is not so “sweet”, for some (known by him) reasons he bites my wife’s or my own hand, and he has a sharp beak. He is fully fledged, we leave him out of his cage around 1-2 hours a day, but although he flies extremely well (avoiding with no effort all the obstacles in the condo apartment where we live) he rarely chooses to fly; he prefers to be picked up, or just remains in his cage where he plays with a metal stick (remains from one of his toys).

Welcome to the forum to both of you! Blue Quakers are very pretty birds. He sounds like a very normal Quaker.

Welcome to you both! I love the movie Wall-E, so naturally I am a big fan of that name.

Happy to have you and Walle join us on the Forum. Walle is much like my QP Ralph, who much prefers having me carry him around to using his own flight skills.
