Hi, i just found my Larry and Bobbie mating.....OHMYBIRDS!!! I saw them together.. And the blue birdie was behind, mounting Larry. Is it possible that Larry is a female? Or will both sexes do that? I don't want eggs..or babies. They both have separate cages, but they eat together, and have play time together. i have also found Larry on the bottom of his cage calling to the blue bird,,,with his back arched and his tail up....does this mean that he is possibly a girl? i know that to make sure I need to have a DNA test, but I thought maybe this behavior was typical for a female. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks- Erin, aka the "bird mamma" Read more: quakerparrotforum.com/thread/721/larry-girl?page=1#ixzz3c09uMX7q

They are such pretty birds and I can imagine the beautiful babies. I know they would be cute babies.. but I don't know anything about nesting or feedings ...or anything for that matter~! I would be so nervous. I have researched alot on the internet... but I think it would be best if they stay on separate cages for awhile... hopefully that will curb any of mating madness~

Yeah, breeding is definitely not something you want to get into half-heartedly Personally it sounds way too intense for me. Lots of cuteness though. Your pair is adorable.

The bit that made me laugh was the "OHMYBIRDS!!!". Sorry. The image my mind conjured up was quite weird!
Edit: Sorry that comment wasn't constructive. But I do think that they may be best separated for a while...
