Hey everyone I had aj for 5 years raised him from a baby found him almost lifeless yesterday then a couple of hours later he died no vets were open he had been feeling and acting well what would cause a sudden death in quakers he didn't eat nothing poison we very heartbroken

That must be devastating. I am very sorry for your loss.
The list of what might have caused it is long, and the only way to be sure is to have your vet do a necropsy. If you have other birds, I would especially encourage you to consider this, as a virus is one possibility and you don't want anything passed around. If you are going to go this route, his remains should be refrigerated.

Wow, really sorry to hear that. That must be really hard.  Like Easttex said, you'll need a vet in order to really know. There's so many ways these little guys can be hurt in our human environments. Really sorry for your loss. RIP AJ. |

So sorry for your loss. Like the others have said, the only thing you can do is to take him to the vet to see if they can find out what happened.

Sorry to hear of aj's passing. It is heartbreaking to lose a much-loved parrot, and you have my sympathy.

Hi Sheila, we're very sorry about AJ's passing - especially shocking if you saw no signs of sickness. If you are up to it, the vet may be able to cast some light on it, as the others have mentioned.
