I posted in the other forum, but thought I'd post here too. Just adopted an estimated to be 2 year old Quaker. I got her from someone who rescued her from a bad home, she was named Baby, but I added the Rio part because I like it. She already knows several words such as Pretty Baby and says "come in" when you knock. She's cuddly, though a bit cage aggressive. I love her already and just got her yesterday.
I look forward to her growing up with my kids (who are 6 and 2 years old) and love that she'll still be with me after they grow up and move out. I can't wait to see what the next 20-30 years hold for us. She seems very healthy since her rescuer switched her over to pelleted food and fruits and veggies. She is going to take a bit to adjust to my dog as well, I'm going to teach her to tell my dog "Hush dog" lol. Wanted to attach a pic but the only way I see is with a URL...so I will work on that.
