I put a little bird cup in Oscar's second cage in the kitchen and put some of the grain or sand that you can buy for birds as I know he likes to chew on it. Well to my amazement.... the next morning I see him and he is humping the white bird cup... lmaooooo.... He does like the sand but he truly loves the container.
When will this heat end?

Is it truly love, or is it just lust? I know we say that both sexes do that, but, honestly, I've only personally seen male birds do it.

Maybe they aren't as discriminating as the females...

Maybe they aren't as discriminating as the females... OH..the comments to be made here but I guess I will pass on them out of respect to our male members of this forum

Oh I don't know about the discriminating part. Oscar prefers some place nice and dark like the drawer with the face cloths in it.... He will only do this in the kitchen if he thinks no one is watching... which is usually early morning. How long does the "heat" last? I thought last time it was only a month... this time it seems longer. I don't think he is reaching the "excited high"... so he keeps on and on. Poor little guy... I really do feel sorry for him.
