Hi Friends. Pele here. Just wanted everyone to know how great I'm doing. I love my new family and I will even walk into the shower and rinse off with them. Here I am, on my new stand, doing what I love to do best...EATING!!!!

Pele does seem to be eating in every shot. Always something healthy, though. And he seems to walk everywhere. Will he be flying in his new home? Welcome back, by the way!

It's nice to see Pele looking well and happy. I can't help think that his enthusiasm for food was inspired by living with Mr P, the Feathered Gourmand.

Ironically enough, Pele came to me with his lust for food, I wonder if it's something about crossing over the threshold into my house? I have Pele to thank for Mr P now eating cauliflower, something he wouldnt touch until he saw Pele eating it! I do not think Pele will be flying in his new home. Part of the Rescue's policy is we advise/encourage folks to keep their adopted birds' wings clipped. I love the fact that Pele's family sends me updates Thank you, it's good to be back. I will definately be fostering a goffins next, there are 3 on the rescue wait list, I am just waiting for my foster coordinator to decide which one needs to come into the Rescue first. There was also an African Grey on the list that looked intriguing, but Im going with one of the Goffins. It seems as though the owners of the Hahns Macaw decided to keep him after all, which is usually best for the bird in a situation like that. Happy hatch day to Ralph, Gary, btw, his spoon design was amazing !

You must be so proud of Pele. All the time and effort you put into him has really paid off. It is just wonderful that he has found a family who give him the time and freedom to express himself

A grey would have been fun. They are sensitive and complicated, but maybe no more so than a cockatoo. Definitely a favorite of mine. Maybe next time? I'm looking forward to reading about your next project.
