I will also wear a hooded sweatshirt and walk around the house with the hood up when Cupcake is in the mood to surgically remove the moles from my neck... When I had a cold sore I wore a turtleneck and pulled the neck up over my face whenever she was nearby (that wouldn't help with ears, unfortunately)...

Maybe Oscar would benefit from Applied Behaviour Analysis.  Sometimes when Bonnie nips too hard I gently grab her in my fist, stare her out, then say "that hurt/too rough/be gentle". Sometimes I say "Oh, DEAR!" - she joins in with a disgruntled seagull-like sound on the 'dear' bit. If that doesn't work I take her closer to her cage and say "No biting - do you want to go back in your cage?". I swear she understands! Having said that, she doesn't always cease her wretched behaviour (just can't help herself, I think). |
