I have a pretty solid case of covid and am not breathing so well, though I’m doing better now that I have a better Inhaler. Yesterday Willow had a lovely long visit with me, licking fever sweat off my forehead. But today I just felt very tired and was hardly out of bed.
I know both birds have plenty of food and water and clean enough cages, but I feel like a real jerk not having them out today. I don’t want to fall asleep with a bird out of cage so I erred on the side of caution. I hope they get a nice visit tomorrow but I guess we’ll see. I have had this for a few weeks and hope it’s over soon.

It's natural to feel a little guilty when you're sick and can't give your parrots as much attention as usual. But they'll forgive you. As long as you can spend at least a little time with them, it's not necessary to let them out when you're not feeling well. The most important thing is making sure they have fresh food and water. You can make up for lost time when you feel better. Hope that happens soon.

Both birds had a nice long visit today. Actually Willow was anxious to go back to his house after an hour or so and Jasper has become ok sitting on my shoulder so she was out for a couple of hours.
Anyhow, yes, they are fine, and they were certainly happy to have a long visit and snuggles. I only had cereal and banana for dinner but each got some banana. Boy am I tired. I haven’t watched so much silly “television” in years. I hope this clears up soon. It’s a boring time for all three of us. Yet I am grateful to have such nice birds and happy that Jasper has chilled out some.

Sorry you’re feeling yucky. Hopefully you’ll manage to eat more and get some strength back I guess sleep and resting are the best things to do. The birds will be fine with a little less activity until you are feeling better.

Yes the nurse told me I need a lot of sleep. Not getting enough air and having a fever is exhausting.
Willow let out a yell just now so I’m going to go get him. And it’s much easier to spend time with Jasper now that she’s steady enough to perch on my shoulder and be ok.
My amazon package containing the nail grinder was just delivered to the mail room. I need to get dressed and mask up and pick it up. Then I need to clean up Willow’s beak a bit and figure out how to trim Jasper’s nails. I’m hoping I don’t have to towel her because she makes a pretty big and angry bird burrito.

Well, good luck, but maybe wait until your fever breaks. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day.

I’m quite a bit better than a week ago. Fever is down. And had some time with Willow before crashing again. Tomorrow I have zoom meetings so I’ve got to get it together!
Both birds are fine they are just a bit lonely. They will come out tomorrow.
