Welcome to the forum! You will need to take things slowly with Chicken nugget. Just sitting talking to him is a start and working him up to taking treats from you. Casey’s favourite treat is raw pumpkin seeds

Hello, you need to make friends with nugget just as you’d make friends with a person. Maybe use more food treats. Quakers love food and usually come to love scritches. My boy came to me having flown around his moms house wild. Now he is the biggest snuggle bug ever.

Welcome to the Forum! I must say that Chicken Nugget is the most unique parrot name I've come across in a long time. Time and patience are your best friends when you're working with Chicken Nugget. Just take things slowly and let C.N. set the pace. Sitting calmly near his cage and taking softly to him is a good approach. It helps him get used to you and the sound of your voice. If you have any questions feel free to ask them here. There's a good chance that someone here will have some advice and suggestions for you.

I might be scared, too, if I was named after a food item. Poor little nugget.
I doubt he know what it means but you do need to make friends slower if he’s not hand tamed.
