I thank you and Casey for the good wishes.  I had my birthday dinner on Thursday with my brother and sister-in-law at one of our favorite Italian restaurants. Today was a quiet day. I took the day off from housework and just relaxed, read the Sunday paper and played with Ralph. When you get to a certain age, birthdays aren't quite as exciting as they used to be.  |

Thanks, heatherg. The way things worked in my family, birthdays were a big deal when you were young and again when you were very old. In between, not so much. Mine are usually pretty quiet too. |
