I ask because my girl, Nikki, a Quaker Parrot passed away almost a month after her 19th birthday. I have heard about so many Quakers living past 20s. Is that super common. Has anyone here lost a Quaker Parrot at around 19 years old. I just want to know she lived not only a full life but a long life too.

19 years is a decent lifespan for a Quaker. If she had not been cared for well she would have died earlier.
It’s not really old but Nikki had a lot of other health problems going on.
My Lucy lived to be 24 which I thought was pretty good because she had a lot of old injuries.

The potential lifespan of QPs is said to be 30-35 years, but that seems to be uncommon. I know of a few who are 20-30 years old and that seems to be a fairly typical lifespan for Quakers in good health. I think that, considering all the health related issues that Nikki had to contend with, 19 was a decent age for her to attain. No matter how long our parrots may live, when they pass away it always seems like their lives were too short.
