I wrap my Willow up in a towel and press some of the water out of his feathers, tail especially. But he enjoys being held and cuddled. Some birds might not like that.
My cockatiel liked being under the hairdryer on low.

No Casey loves going back to his cage and preening himself after a shower. They love getting all soaked from a bath

Ralph dries off without any help after his baths. He usually plays for a while until he gets a little drier then preens. I imagine that a baby parrot will also dry unassisted.

Bonnie just flies up somewhere high and dries on her own, sometimes whilst preening. It was funny though, the first time she tried to fly with wet feathers it didn’t work very well. 🤣
