Sunshine is typically quiet silent most of the day my son put on QP noises on his computer and she went so vocal I could not believe it. I was told that she watched TV all day while her previous owners were at work or did not want to be bothered with her. She seems to enjoy listening to the other parents talk. Sunshine also had a companion sweet pea that she was separated from when I got her about 5 weeks ago. My question is is it wrong to play these videos occasionally since she seems to enjoy them or should I just keep her only with people? She does not mimic people words but she can be very QP local when the one hour video is running. I wanted to be happy but I don't want to damage my relationship with her.

Lots of parronts play parrot videos for their parrots. As long as they enjoy the videos there's no harm in it, provided that the videos don't upset them or make them hyperactive. If Sunshine shows signs of getting too worked up over the videos, then it's time to take a break from them. You might also find things on television that Sunshine would like. Some parrots like to watch nature programs. Neither of mine are interested in videos or TV, but they seem to be the exceptions rather than the rule.

We don’t have a tv in the living room where Casey is but I did get a free Google home thingy. I have it to switch to different radio stations throughout the days we are out and every couple of hours I programmed it to say hi Casey, hi baby play peekaboo etc, words he knows. I do hear him answer it when we are home. I also have a cage of finches that are background noises and company too

Sunshine only seems motivated to play with her toys or eat and make bird calls chirping she gets fluffy happy when the Bird videos are on. Without the videos she will sit silently staring blankly not making noise not moving around like a statue on one foot just observing I suppose. I try to interact with her and she wants to bite me so I'm trying to go more slowly. I think I'll keep giving her time with the videos since it seems to make her happyier.

Maybe the videos with bird noises are company for her. Kind of like a substitute flock. In that case, she might feel less vulnerable and do be more vocal.
That idea suggests that Willow could also benefit from YouTube bird videos because he’s usually way too quiet. I am happy when he’s noisy because then he’s acting like a real bird.
