I hope you are not forced into it, but I much prefer the rural life. At some point I guess I'll have to go back to living among more of my fellow man and woman, but you'll see the ruts created by my fingernails when I do.

Trying to find if there is some sort of work I can do from home just to keep some money rolling in. My friend has made a couple of suggestions which I will look into. While I have no doubt that my volunteer workload will increase dramatically once I leave work, I would still like to have some paid employment but just part time - maybe 2-3 days a week. I am also a qualified reflexologist so will probably set up a mobile business. As to the house, the birds will get their own room (thank goodness) and Shah will have "areas" in most rooms where we can hang out together. I plan to leave them out of their cages while I am at home which will be a dramatic change for them. It will be lovely to finally live by myself in my own home. While it is a bit scary for me to make such a big change, it will be wonderful for my feathered and furred friends.

Sometimes the challenges imposed upon us by life actually result in growth. You might find the change rejuvenating.
