It was so very hilarious when my sister bought a green lizard costume (to make my Mom laugh) and she put it on to show us. When she came down the hallway on her hands and knees the hood came down over her head and you could see the eyes, nose and teeth. All down the back was yellow pointed crowns like a dinosaur would have.
Well... OMG... you should have seen Oscar flap his wings to try and get away (he was still 8 ft. away) and he was screaming bloody murder. He raced to the far side of his cage and tried to hide behind it.... lol.... Of course I felt bad and went and got him and he would not stop growling until I had him as far away from the monster as possible.
Later that evening when my Mom came over, my brother-in-law took the costume and went out to the garage and put it on. Only his wife knew he was doing this. He climbed over snow banks to get into my back yard and the snow is waste deep...... The first one to see him was Oscar.... and talk about laugh.... Oscar gave his famous danger call over and over again.... Everyone was laughing so hard and once again... I was the saviour for Oscar and held him to reassure him that the monster was going away. It sure was hilarious. Oscar hates the bright colors.... and this was bright green and yellow... lol... I still chuckle over it and Oscar still checks the window to make sure it is gone.
