Do any of your QPs dance to music? Cupcake will bop her head but her timing is pretty off typically. I've seen some incredible videos of Cockatoos dancing and was curious if anyone has or has even heard of a particularly talented QP dancer.

Not so far. I had my doubts that I would even get Peppy out of his cage willingly, so can dancing be far behind?

Oscar will only bounce his head if I am bouncing in front of him.. sorta like monkey see monkey do. He likes music but only from the radio and not guitars.

Shah bops his head to music - but that is only because I bop my head. He dances when he is hormonal

Mr P shows absolutely no interest in any kind of music, except he likes to meow when I play Old McDonald

Hmmm... interesting! Cupcake dances when I drum on things near her. I don't have to dance to get her to do it, but it looks a lot like a hormonal dance so who knows... I wonder why some types of birds seem to be better at dancing than others.
Like this guy-- have you guys seen bird dancing like this?

This is Snowball, below. He is famous. There were scientific studies done based on his dancing abilities.

Ah yes, Snowball is amazing! I think that was who I was looking for when I went searching on youtube, although that other guy has got some good moves too! Seems like Cockatoos have strong dancing instincts for whatever reason

Ralph isn't a dancer (I guess he takes after me-- like the old song says, "I won't dance, don't ask me." ). He does enjoy listening to music and has several favorite songs. He even likes hearing me sing them; in fact, I think he prefers my singing to Frank Sinatra's.

This video is a lot like what Cupcake does, although this bird is definitely more "relaxed" about it:

I love it - especially where he grabs some food - obviously to give himself energy to continue dancing.

Haha great! Yeah having watched it a few times as well I am realizing this bird's dancing is quite a bit more sophisticated than Cupcake actually... And super adorable. But she doesn't really bop side to side not do any lifting of her feet. Just head bobbing for the most part. I agree the grabbing of food during the video is hilarious. Hehe.

Mr P just does the part where this bird sticks his head in his food dish to get something to eat. He doesnt need music for that either
