I'm new here, just signed up tonight. My name is Ginny I received a quaker for christmas from my daughter. I have had birds before but never one that I could actually train. His name is scrappy. I am really enjoying having him. I am retired and live in a small travel trailer along with 3 small dogs. Scrappy is 9 months old. He is getting used to being out of his cage and visiting with me on the table. I am really watching the dogs very carefully so they don't decide to make scrappy their dinner. So far the dogs want nothing to do with the bird which I am very glad for. Scrappy let them know when they got to close to his cage that they were no welcome and each one got a nip on the nose. Now they stay away.
I'm hoping to find out all I can about quakers on the internet and also on this forum.

Welcome, Ginny and Scrappy. Sounds like you guys are already having heaps of fun! We recently bought a camper trailer and love it (although we don't live in it full-time). I think Scrappy will be 'the boss' in your animal family. Hope you enjoy the forum and I am sure there is enough info here for you to read.

Hi Ginny and Scrappy! That's a cute name - pretty well sums up the general Quaker personality.

Hi Ginny and Scrappy. Welcome and hope you find out all you need to know on this forum. Let me know how well Scrappy likes the travelling... I am thinking of doing something similar.
