Ralph's first molt started not long after he came to live with me at six months old. Signs of sexual maturity followed not too long after. Three months old does seem like an early start. Parrots will not only regurgitate for their human friends, but for their toys, perches and other inanimate objects. At full sexual maturity, they're likely to get very friendly with those things too.

I brought Lucy into my home at 2 1/2, well after she should have hit puberty. She very soon showed the depth of her love by regurging for me. She was fascinated by my roommate who was a very flaming gay man, and brought up a pea for him on his arm. He was horrified. He also named her regurg. routine “fluff and gag”.
The ones you love can hurt you the most (by rejection).
Willow came to me at seven years old and doesn’t actually deposit anything on my hand or in the cage, but is very romantic with some of his hanging toys. I just say ,”oh, jeez, Willow!” and leave him alone. I don’t know if this behavior will decrease in the winter, but the boy bird hormonal behaviors are at least not dangerous to the bird. Unless he goes blind.
