I got my very first Quaker just three days ago and I'm in love already. She's a 16 week old blue girl (DNA tested) that was hand raised so we've had cuddles already. She loves snuggling against my neck! We've named her Jemima, or Jem for short

We also have three budgies and Jemima loves to watch their antics. Our home is never quiet! I'm really looking forward to getting to know Jem's personality and seeing her come out of her shell a bit. Having a large parrot again is wonderful, I had a rainbow lorikeet years ago and Jem's reminding me a lot of him.

I only heard of Quakers for the first time about a week ago (true!!) when I saw them on a website for sale. I did some quick research and before I knew it I had a new baby. I'll be hanging about these forums a bit learning as much as I can!

I'm a new Quaker mum to baby Jemima and also have three budgies in my brood (Dexter Blue, Honey, and Pickles). I LOVE birds!
