I'm new to this forum so I apologize if I did not post this in the right section. I have only had a parakeet when I was younger so I am fairly new to pet birds. My boyfriend and I are thinking about getting a quaker in the nearish future. So we are doing lots of research about their needs and planning out the things we will need and such. I have been having a hard time finding breeders near us though. We are very uneasy about the thought of putting a new baby bird through the process of shipping. We are totally fine with driving a couple of hours to pick the baby up and we live in Virginia. Does anyone know of any breeders in Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, Eastern Tennessee, Eastern Kentucky or Maryland? Thanks so much for your help, this forum is a wealth of information for a couple of quaker newbies like us 
I don't know any breeders in your area, but recommend that you contact your nearest avian vet. Someone in the office might be able to steer you in the right direction. If you don't know any, you can start your search here:
