Wow. What is wrong with this picture? Pele is on a new playstand..great...but...THAT IS MR P's STAND! Pele just helped himself to it! So glad Mr P was elsewhere at the time!

Somebirdie else's toys are always more fun than one's own. It's a good sign that Pele feels comfortable enough to explore Mr P's playstand. Just hope Mr P doesn't find out about it... "Who's been playing on my playstand???"

Well, the "step up" was short lived. Pele decided to explore again later on in the day, same situation, after wandering around the floor for a bit, he came over to me (I was sitting in my chair). I got down on the floor and offered him my hand. He was about 2 feet away from where I sat down. He came running over to my hand and bit me. He could've chosen to walk the other way but he decided to bite me instead. He really didnt draw a lot of blood, Mr P has bitten me harder, it was just the point that he came at me with the intention to bite, rather than walk the other way.
What a way to burst one's bubble!
The good news is that I was able to use a handheld perch to get him off of Mr P's playstand and back to his own cage.

I cant believe how quickly he is progressing - cant believe it is the same bird. You have done something wonderful with Pele. You are an absolute inspiration Sharyn.

I don't mean to pry, but was that a bandaid on someone's nose? Just wondering if it had anything to do with a bird.

LOL Easttex, I was wondering if anyone was going to comment on that. Yes, that is a bandaid on Rick's nose and yes, that is from Pele's beak, although not yesterday.
It was actually Rick's fault, I don't blame Pele a bit. When you know that a bird bites, you do not let it play with your glasses, when said glasses are on your nose.
I do not let Pele NEAR my face, heck, I don't even like Mr P near my face and he rarely bites these days.
And thanks, Jan, we still have a ways to go, but he is coming along quite nicely. Being brave enough to actually explore is a huge step for this bird!
