Hello, I'm so excited to meet you all and become a member. I've waited a long time to get myself a Quaker Parrot. I just picked her up today (I'm going with she's a female lol). I've named her Pipa and I'm just smitten with her. Any tips or advice? I'm all ears. Shanna.

Hi and welcome Shanna and Pipa! There is a lot of good general information on the QP Main Site, and that is an excellent place to start. Reading some of the past threads will provide lots more. Any questions you have can probably be answered by someone here. Is Pipa your first parrot?

Welcome, and congratulations on becoming a Quaker parront! I always recommend reading all you can about QPs. Some good books about Quakers include Mattie Sue Athan's Guide to the Quaker Parrot and The Quaker Parrot: A Guide to a Happy, Healthy Pet by Pamela Leis Higdon. If you have any questions, feel free to ask them. There's usually someone on the Forum who will have answers for you.

Welcome! I'm sure you will find plenty to read here (I'm often mesmerised by reading past posts for hours at a time!).

Thank you for the warm welcomes. Pipa is my first parrot yes. So this is all new to me. I have owned budgies and cockatiels in the past but Quakers have always been a love of mine. She's an absolute sweetheart. I'm looking forward to sitting down with a cup of tea and getting my read on here.
