Hello,
We had taken Pepito for a drive before with no problems. We could tell he actually enjoyed it a lot. However, the last time we took him with us, he started gagging and vomited a lot. We had to park for a little bit to make sure he recovered. I could tell he felt embarrassed because went to hide at the back of the driver's seat.
I should mention he usually rides on my hubby's shoulder.
Anyone would know why did this happen?

I suppose it's possible for a parrot to get carsick, just as a human child might do. It's something you might want to ask your vet about.

A parrot vomiting is usually serious and needs a vet check. It comes out as a big spray. Parrots also regurgitate for their mates and babies. That comes out slowly Casey has been going for car rides lots lately and never had a problem

I know this is old, but my Quaker Lucy used to get carsick. I think that happens with some parrots. I would not worry about it, and maybe cover your bird when they’re in the car.
