A few days ago, I realized that Ralph hadn't had a bath since last week. I mentioned that to him, and asked him "Would you like your bath today?" Ralph responded "uh-uh." A definite no. "How about tomorrow then?" Ralph nodded enthusiastically. Sure enough, the next day, he reminded me that it was bath time by rattling his water dish. Ralph may be a parrot of few words, but he is pretty good at communicating with me.

Well done, Ralph! Obviously he knows what 'today' vs 'tomorrow' means (amazing, really). He may actually be the quietest quaker on the forum, Gary (?)

He really does sound like quite the gentleman parrot.

He may actually be the quietest quaker on the forum, Gary (?) He may be-- he is usually pretty quiet. Even his noisier moments aren't all that bad. He can say quite a few words, but isn't often too talkative. He does like to whisper things along with me when I say them. And he does seem to understand the meaning of a lot of the things I say to him, especially food-related words like "pellets," "baked potato," "cracker," "cheese" and "donuts."

So cute.... He is a wonderful little bird. I love when they understand certain words or terms. Well done!
