I'm getting my new baby in 2 days. He doesn't have a name yet. I waiting until I meet him. He's not quite weaned yet but I am experienced in hand feeding so we should be ok. I was wondering what wood would best to make toy out of. Is pine (like from the lumber yard)? I have soft maple trees in my yard that are always losing branches and wondered if they were ok. Thanks
Most pine is listed as a safe wood, as long as any sap has dried up; that shouldn't be a problem with pine from a lumberyard. Maple is safe too. Any wood should be cleaned and disinfected before use, especially if it was collected from outdoors.
