My 25 year old Quaker Parrot, Chip passed away on June 2, 2021, I am planning on bringing another Quaker Parrot home. I am in process of cleaning his cage toys & perches. Throwing away items that are worn out and no longer useable, I ordered some new toys. Chip took a spray bath in the sink, but I was thinking about purchasing a detachable bath bowl and wondered if your Quakers took baths in the sink or tub or in a bath bowl in their cages? Chip used to try to bathe in his water bowl, so maybe he would have liked a bath bowl. I am ordering a new travel cage with food/water bowls so if we have to evacuate in case of hurricanes here on the Gulf Coast. Also it would make a good sleep cage. My African Grey has a similar sleep cage, but Chip's was old so I threw it in the trash rather than clean it.

I am looking for a Quaker breeder in the Mobile Alabama area as I would like to purchase a weaned hatchling around 3 to 6 months old.

Sorry to hear about Chip passing away. My Quaker takes a bath in a large chips and dip plate. lol There isn't any detachable bath that I think he'd take a bath in. He won't do the sink and he will sit in the shower with me but won't fluff up like he's ready to bathe. He's also only slightly tolerable to the water sprayer (like what you'd use for wetting your hair). Oh and my hands have to be in the water too, splashing around, or he won't take a bath at all. lol Also I just recently purchased a really good carrier for $45 for Rico's first vet visit. I'll put links down to both the platter and carrier so you have ideas.
