Hello All! I recently added to our family with a young Quaker parrot. We have had an Indian Ringneck for several years and decided it was time to add another parrot. I am hoping you can give me some good resources for Quakers - I've already learned that aside from being called "parrots" Ringnecks and Quakers are very different! LOL

Welcome to you & your birds. What are their names? I am sure you'll find lots of interesting things to read (if you have the time...)!

Welcome! Yes, I've found that each species of parrot is different from another. Plus, they have those individual personalities to make things even more interesting. If you haven't already, check out the main site (QP Main Site) above for some basic quaker information.

Welcome to the Forum! As easttex said, each type of parrot is different from the others, but it sometimes seems like Quakers are even more different. Here is a link to the companion site: Quakerparrots.comYou might also like to read up on Quakers. Some good books about QPs include Mattie Sue Athan's Guide to the Quaker Parrot and Pamela Leis Higdon's The Quaker Parrot: Guide to a Happy, Healthy Pet.
And feel free to ask questions here on the Forum-- there's a good chance someone here will have an answer for you.
