I think the jury is out on that one, waltergoh. I've heard that both can talk just fine. As far as I'm aware, it just depends on your relationship with the bird and how much time you're willing to spend with him/her. Welcome, by the way!  . |

Both male and female Quaker parrots have the potential to imitate speech and sounds. It depends more on the individual personality of the parrot, and, as biteybird said, on human interaction with the parrot.
