Hi everybody!
Some of you may remember me as santanasmom. I haven't been on the forum for quite a while due to health reasons. With a very sad heart I have to tell u that my sweet Santana left this world very suddenly 10 days ago. I am dealing with this the best way I know how. It was so sudden - he was playing with my husband early a.m. When I got up he was sitting perfectly still and rushed him to animal Hospital.
gone a few hours later. This was also a week before we were leaving on vacation and he was going to be boarded at this same vet - they were so looking forward to Spending time with him.
I didnt want to feel like I had to replace him but there is such a void in my heart. I prayed about and felt like if I could find one in my area (Chicago area) then I would feel like it was meant to be and it was. I found a very reputable bird dealer and he has 4 Quakers still being hand fed. So even though she's not home with me yet I would like to have introduce Lucy McGilloucudy. (Any I love Lucy fans out there?)

I always thought that when I get chickens again, and assuming they are the classic red/brown variety, one will be called Lucy, one Rita, and one Ruby.
