Hello everyone, I'm Lynda, I know this is a Quaker Forum, I have an African Grey and an Ecklectus , I am moving to New Bern NC and am looking for a bird sitter in that area, I am in SC at the moment and have a totally awesome bird sitter here, but I can't travel 51/2 hrs to bring them to her, so any help with bird sitters would be greatly appreciated, Thank you so much.

Welcome to the Forum. I'm in Syracuse, NY, so I can't help find a bird sitter in NC, but maybe someone else on the Forum will be able to suggest someone.

You're welcome-- but sorry I couldn't be more helpful. If I lived near you, I'd be tempted to parrot-sit for you. Your two parrots are at the top of my list of Parrots I'd Like to Have Someday. I guess it sometimes is a small world. I run into people from upstate New York, or people who know someone from here, in places where you might not expect to find them.

Hi Lynda. There are several of us Linda's on the board, and I just have to comment that you spell your name wrong. I can't help with your bird sitting problem, either. As is probably obvious, I'm in East Texas. But I know how invaluable a good sitter is. Are you sure you want to move?

Hi Easttex, No it's not spelled wrong, that's the way I spell it. We just had our first Grandson in NC, so yes, we want to move there to be able to watch him grow up, we've got 5 Granddaughters but they all live far away, so we want to at least watch one of them grow up, and my husband can work from NC, so I'll just keep looking, Thanks for your post!!!!!
