Yep another question about head bobbing. So the behaviour noticed is vigorous head bobbing followed by what looks like moving crop from side to side and then what I can only describe as gagging. Not regurgitation but beak open neck stretched out gagging. Something stuck in crop is my first thought but I thought I'd ask here as I'm unfamiliar with the quirks of quakers. Seems to have eased off now but I'll be keeping an eye out. Oh and I should point out that it is the first day the bird has been with me and the first time out of the cage.

It may be that your QP is settling what's in his crop, but not necessarily that anything is stuck there. That's fairly common, especially if the parrot has recently eaten.

Pretty much what I thought although I can't say I've seen any of my other parrots so visibly shift their crop around. Figured it was better to ask.

I haven’t seen Casey do that either though maybe I haven’t noticed he does make munching sounds after eating
