I just got a 2 month old and I am wondering about how long he will be taking formula? I am having a hard time getting it down him and seem to be making more of a mess.

Welcome! I have no experience with such young parrots, or with handfeeding, and can't offer any useful information. If you have a veterinarian, I would recommend a consultation with him/her to get the best advice.
