recently my 8 year old Quaker (female) has been looking/staring at her butt or feet, I can't quite tell. I'm not sure if it's because her nails are too long and bothering her or if it's because it's spring and she's watching for an egg. has anyone else had this behavior in their pets?

Welcome! I'm really not sure what your QP is looking at or why. If she seems troubled you might want to try to schedule a vet visit.
